I DID IT! OUTLOOK CONNECTOR + CUSTOM DOMAIN LIVE MAIL ACCT!

Will a custom domain work well with an existing hotmail account?
I'm still wanting to be able to use my e-mail accounts associated with a WLCD and fully sync them with Outlook (including the calendar function). For this to be possible, I need to have a "Premium" account (and I do, with MSN Premium). However, I can't do the full sync or check the WLCD e-mail with Windows Live

SMTP servers for custom domains?
I found it slow, very annoying, cluttery, and the live search engine too, well... If you can't say anything nice... 8o I don't think Google or Yahoo has anything to worry about. With all the MS hype over this I must say I was quite disappointed. The only neat thing was the free "Windows Live Custom Domains" service

Moving contacts and mail are the least of my concern but thanks for the tip. I also use Windows Live for Windows Mobile and that helps this migration also. be great if this was thought about in the future because it is really preventing me (probably others) of moving by personal account to live custom domain.
